Hear what previous students on the 6 Week Beginner course had to say...
I was not sure what to expect as this was my first yoga experience.I should not have worried as Sayeeda had provided on line graphics of the different moves. At the classes she was excellent at explaining and demonstrating what we should be doing. Also quietly correcting my efforts when getting left and right muddled up.Ah the joys of getting old!
Yes, a big thank you for the excellent tuition and your excellent sense of humour.
Amazing!! I really look forward to going to class every week. Sayeeda is a wonderful teacher, she is very informative and explains what each pose is working on which I found really interesting and it also helped me to know if I was working the correct muscles. She always breaks each pose down and gives variations for different abilities, also if you have any injuries she will cater to those as well. I would 100% recommend Sayeeda’s classes to anyone who’s looking to start yoga, especially as a beginner as that was my experience.
I have recently completed a six week, pre-paid course for beginners with Sayeeda and have really enjoyed it.
Sayeeda’s class was excellent, each week different postures were taught with an accompanying leaflet explaining the posture, which enabled me to look at it again after the class and helped me to remember details!
Overall Sayeeda’s method of teaching was very good, her attention and thoughtfulness to each class member was great. Sayeeda came across as caring and professional and with a real desire to make sure everyone was happy with the postures, if anyone struggled she always had alternative suggestions.
I would definitely recommend her classes!
At 73, I wanted some form of gentle exercise, decided on Yoga. Sayeeda was brilliant, helpful with being comfortable with positions, and breathing, since attending classes the base of my spine feels more relaxed, and is no longer painful. Brilliant. Thanks.
The Ashtanga method is a specific sequence of postures with a strong emphasis on syncing breath with movement. It is a dynamic all round practice designed to build strength, flexibility and stamina in both body and mind.
Suitable for all levels, but this is a stronger practice – if you are unsure if this class is for you please contact me.
With a regular and consistent yoga practice you can improve your flexibility, strength and stamina both physically and mentally adding a richness to your existence that flows right off the mat and into the rest of your life.
There are so many benefits to be gained from incorporating a yoga practice into your life. Whilst the physical strength and flexibility are amongst the most obvious, it’s the subtle unseen benefits which can have the greatest impact on your entire experience of life.
As we direct our focus inward, connect to our breath, and move mindfully we begin to unite our mind, body and soul which in turn promotes an overall sense of well being.
A yoga practice can help you with symptoms of stress, maintain your nervous system, improve respiratory system, improve posture, help with focus and mental clarity, provide you with a sense of community and SO MUCH MORE!
