Private yoga classes reflect the way yoga was traditionally taught for many centuries. Rather than learning as part of a large group, students developed a close relationship with their teacher, allowing the practices to be adapted to their individual needs, stage of life and experience. While group classes have many benefits, private sessions offer the opportunity to return to some of that more personal approach.
Everyone comes to yoga with different experiences, abilities, questions and circumstances. Private sessions give us the time to explore what works for you, adapting the practices as your body, your understanding and your life change over time.
Together we might explore movement, breathing practices, meditation and relaxation, depending on what you’re hoping to gain from your sessions. Whether you’d like to build confidence, improve mobility, deepen your understanding of yoga or simply have the space to ask questions and learn at your own pace, each session is shaped around you. Rather than striving to perform yoga perfectly, the intention is to discover an approach to yoga that feels meaningful and relevant to your everyday life.
Who are private yoga classes for?

Would like to begin yoga but aren’t sure where to start. Perhaps you’ve never stepped into a class before, or you’d simply feel more comfortable learning one-to-one.
Are living with chronic pain, fatigue or another long-term health condition. We can explore ways of adapting the practice to work with your body, rather than against it.
Are recovering from an injury or returning to movement after time away. Together we can rebuild confidence and gradually reintroduce movement in a way that feels appropriate for you.
Would like support with your mental wellbeing. Yoga offers much more than physical movement. We can explore breathing practices, meditation, philosophy, and gentle movement to help you better understand how your body and mind respond to stress, overwhelm and everyday life.
Want to improve strength, mobility or flexibility? Whether you have a particular goal or simply want to move with greater ease, sessions can be tailored to your individual needs.
Are you curious about yoga beyond the postures? If you’d like to explore breathing practices, meditation, philosophy or Ayurveda alongside movement, private sessions give us the time and space to go deeper.
Prefer individual support? Some people simply learn better one-to-one. Private sessions allow plenty of time for questions, discussion and adapting the practice as you go.
I don’t believe yoga should be about forcing yourself into shapes or striving to perform perfectly. Together we’ll explore practices that work with your body, your circumstances and your life as it is now.
