This Conscious Breathing Meditation For Beginners is a simple yet powerful mindfulness practice that brings you into the present moment.
Meditation doesn’t need to be complicated to be effective, and I hope that this practice is a good example of that.
Conscious breathing meditation practices can help us relax and bring a sense of calm back into our lives.
Over the years in my yoga and meditation practice, I’ve found that by consciously observing my breath I have a much greater awareness of what is going on in my mind and body.
The present becomes clearer and I am less clouded by thoughts of the past or future. This helps me get some relief from symptoms of stress and anxiety, while at the same time allowing me to explore the deeper layers of my consciousness.
Conscious Breathing Meditation equips me with space. The space in my mind and body to observe and then decide if I need to act or not act accordingly to situations and stimuli, be that in the time I am meditating or in the rest of my daily life.
Using meditation and yoga can enable us to be more connected to ourselves and our surroundings, which in turn results in a greater sense of peace and well-being, and this short practice which is designed with beginners in mind, is gentle and approachable.
It will help you get comfortable with the idea of meditation, sitting with the self, and finding acceptance with all that arises without judgment.
To begin this practice find a space where you will not be disturbed, sit comfortably, and then listen to the recording.
Use this as a tool to start your meditation journey, or come back to the practice, again and again, to find presence in your day.
